Thought id give it a shot and ask here to see if anyone knows...
Lately my alarm has been tripping out upon trying to arm and disarm it. Im getting a faint chirp when disarming it usually, and it typically sounds alot lower (volume wise) when arming and disarming compared to when I hit the panic...
What might this be? Just the brain going bad??? or a faulty connection.
Also sometimes when the doors lock i can hear a fluttering sound coming from the brain of the alarm, ill tap it or hit it and it will go away. Whats odd about all this is it just started doing it after my steering wheel install.. I have no idea what could have happened...

sounds like possibly a loose(ish) power connection.
more than likely your connections are t-tapped and your power connection is a little loose.
this is why t-taps and scotch locks are bad.

94another thing, Viper/DEI has what they call "soft chirp", meaning the siren will have a softer arm/disarm tone as well as warn away, full trigger will be louder.(there is a black loop on the siren to chage this). I dont feel the softer siren output is an idication of your problem, but you clearly have a problem.
