I love my swap...the torque is impressive

Only thing I hate is how low the header is..

Then again, I am somewhat low on 15's

ive got a h22a in a 94 civic coupe, from the looks of it there is plenty of room for a turbo setup.

anyways i went from a b16a with i/h/e to h22a with i/h/e, and all I have to say is i would never go back. the b16 was kinda fun to drive because of the gearing, but otherwise worthless. the h22 is soooooooo much better to drive around i get just as good as mpg, and its way quicker than the b16 was.

that and the h22 has a powerband that starts from like 3k rpm to redline while with the b16 the powerband consisted of 5500rpms to redline. i give for the h22

now just think how much better/faster it would be if you went h2b...

sounds like a nice setup.

OP: go to youtube and check out some videos of the h22 swaps and see for yourself. i would like to do one but they are a little more difficult of a swap compared to a b series.

it isnt nearly as bad as people make it out to be whatsoever. the worst part was the wiring harness, but if you know a lil bit about wiring then its not hard.

the only difference between a b series swap and a h swap is the size of the motor... i just got back from the track today and ended up running a 12.4. not what i was expecting but with a little more driver experience im sure i can hit 11's...

Depends on your plans really. If you intend on modding the motor later ie: boost or spray i would go with b series. unless you just wanna drop in swap with alot of power. Another option is H2b swap which makes around same hp and K series but is quite bit more expensive. all depends on your plans

i think every one likes one or the other better not bc of power just smaller and seems to be alot easyer to find b- parts cheaper the h22 is alil heavie so up to you man

i would go with a b18c1

if its a y8 or z6...something like that ide just build and boost the single....sorry but ive watched my boys rex smash a low boost h22 delsol

ive also always heard that the transmissions for the h series arent as strong as the other d`s and b`s and are more prone to catastofic transmission failure....that and way harder to find and much more expensive.

then again alot of h22 owners will tell you otherwise, if i were you ide simply continue my own research and determine your own opinions on each of the available swaps apposed to just taking everyones word for it.

you might find a combination that better suites your personal needs/goals an may even come up with something obscure that will turns heads way more than "another h22 civic" or just another boosted d or n/a b.

do whatcha will just have fun with it

edit: want an opinion...?

d16z6 built for boost and go for 400hp

or

f22 cast sleeves out the factory....another underestimated boost monster, also a cheap find.
