Default Awesome deal on rods I hope??? please comment

I just picked up a set of K20a Eagle H beam rods on ebay for $99. They were made .030 too long so they almost match the specs for the F23 I'm building. Please take a look at the thread and let me know if these can be made to work easily for my setup. I'm getting custom CP pistons anyway so this shouldn't be an issue I'm hoping.

I'd be leary of any manufacturer who would admit to ACCIDENTLY making a rod set .030" too long. What else have they done "accidently"?
I suspect they were a custom 1-off exercise where the customer backed out of the sale. Longer rods are usually required when you de-stroke an engine (higher RPM power band)
If you go this route, be prepared for the price of the custom 1-off Piston set - and buy a couple extra for when something "Bad" should happen. Also make sure that the rod 'Big End" is the proper size for the crankshaft you're using.

Don't know how to put this softly but eagle does not make any custom rods. I have contacted them about this in the past. If they are telling you they are from eagle and one off (custom) then they are lying. I would not buy those rods if I were you, but thats me.

The only rods that I would put in that engine is Crower, Pauter, or Carrillo. For a set of good rods expect to pay over $700. I have purchased Crower and I am now using Pauter, great product but def. not cheap. Talked to Carrillo alot about rods but the turn around time was to long. For there rods your looking between $200-250 per rod, for the set that would be $800-1000.
