Default TPMS question

Hi,
All I recently upgraded my car (08Civic LX Sedan) on a set of ADR 17" and installed a set of used TPMS sensors which I bought off of ebay. The "TPMS" yellow light is on. The wheels have been mounted and balanced by an expert. I called up the dealer and asked for the part number for the OEM sensors on my car and it is 42753-SNA-A83 and the parts number on the sensor that I bought was 42753-SNA-A810, now my question is, does this matter at all from funcitonality point of view??? on the A810 it says 315mhz and the fcc ID # is GQU-36T not that it matters....

I know the parts numbers are different, but the listing clearly says "06 07 08 Honda Civic Tire Pressure Sensors TPMS OEM"...CIVIC 06-08 (Cpe & Sed, 5 lug), 16x6-1/2, alloy, 7
spoke"

Help me out...as the sensors are alreday mounted I would like to know if this can be fixed by the dealer or my only way out is to unmount the OEM steel wheels(more$$$) and unmount the alloys and swap out the Sensors......... more $$$$ whould be my last option any ways....
Thankx
JFK

I know the dealer has to reset your car to recognize the new sensors. I would start there.

That's what I would do, unless the 'expert' that installed your sensors was a tech from a Honda dealership.

The part description probably refers to the chassis it fits on, which is the 8th gen from 06-08.

only one way to find out...either call them and ask them of take your car to them. They will most likely charge for resetting the TPMS so the new sensors are communicating with the existing system in the car. And I've read somewhere, its not cheap to get that reset out of warranty and your setup clearly falls out of warranty since neither the sensors nor the wheels are OEM.
