Default Question on suspension 00 prelude

I've noticed some rough riding in my car lately and my tires are starting to rub if another person sits in the car with me when I turn corners or hit bumps. Also if I push the car down, I hear a squeaking noise. I wouldn't call it a squeak but I think you probably know what I mean.

I was looking to replace the struts and the springs and did some searches on here and most recommend the Koni yellows. I'm mainly looking for a really nice smooth ride but performance would be a bonus. Not really looking into racing.

Any recommendations on what they normally should run and recommendations on parts to change it out completely? I currently have 17" rims on the car. Tires are 225/40/17 and I'd like to keep it somewhat lowered.

I've been doing alot of reading here and would it be better to do coilovers? I'm trying to read up alot on here so bear with my ignorance

Thanks!

Default Re: Question on suspension 00 prelude (jay24k)

Well, I've been doing some reading and while I am in the process of replacing my timing belt, I found out my struts are koni yellows. I guess the previous owner redid the suspension too. Is there a way to tell what the springs are? Also, I swear the car seems to bottom out alot more then previous. Could the springs be sagging and how can I determine that. My tires are about a finger height to the top. I thought they were about two prior. If I did have to replace springs, would that height be standard or a small drop like 1/2" or 1".

Hard to find specific information like this.

Thanks.
