Default what suspension pieces are a must for the EG chassis???

i would like to know from experience which bars work the best for cornering in a EG for example is the Miracle X bar worth its weight around the twisties cause all i hear when i make a sharp turn iss rubbing on my expensive tires so i need to eliminate all the body roll i can.....thanks again!! Oh running on ground controls with stock struts and 17 inch rims wrapped with Toyo R888 tires that i loveeeeee on the street!!

if you already have ground control coilovers, i would highly recommend getting a set of koni sport yellow shocks to go along with that, it's a proven setup that's great for the street and if you're set up is aggressive enough, it should serve you well on the track also

other than that, i would also do a front sway bar (if your car doesn't have one from the factory) and a integra type-r 22 or 23mm rear sway bar with a subframe reinforcement brace (to protect from subframe tearout and ease of mounting)

you can do the strut bars and x-bar's, but the sway bar and shocks would be more noticeable for sure

Well there's your whole problem.

1) 17" wheels are retarded to have on an EG Civic and you obviously haven't beaten your fenders out far enough. Stop being a ricer and buy some 15's.
2) Your dampers are under valved and over springed.
3) R888s are overkill for your car and are a waste of money.
4) Don't listen to that ******* above me and DO NOT touch your sway bars. You touch your sway bars and not only do you not know how to drive your car right now you now have a Civic with spooky handling characteristics that will rotate its *** end out easier and lift tires.
5) Replace your 17 year old bushings.
6) Buy some better suspension.
7) Stop buying crap for your car till you learn how to drive it. Replace the old crap that's worn out and causing spooky suspension travel, replace your blown stock dampers and roll on some KYB Buzz Specs and Tein S Tech springs, buy some 205/50/15 RT615's, a good bucket seat, good brake pads, steering wheel and learn to drive. The more **** you throw on that car, the harder it will become to drive.

Chassis bars will do literally ZERO to reduce body roll.

Body roll can be limited by spring rates, and by adding sway bars or adding thicker swaybars. this doesn't mean run the stiffest springs and fattest sway bars you can find. There is a delicate balance in terms of what rates and bars go together, and that balance differs with every different driver.

I personally have a suspension set-up on my 1992 Civic that many people here could not drive spiritedlky around the block without losing control and smashing the car up. I run 425F, 550R spring rates with no front sway bar and a 14mm rear sway bar. I've ran this for 7 years without inciden and I love driving my car hard. I would not suggest this for everyone, and it took some auto-X seat time to find the limits of the set-up. I've never once lost control of my car in daily driving, ever.

But back to the original question:

I say buy some koni Yellow shocks as they work wonderfully well with GD coil-overs. Look into some sway bars, and possibly start small like OE stock 92-95 Civic Ex front sway bar and add a stock 94-01 non-ITR 14mm rear sway bar. If you like the change and get used to it you can always step front or rear bar up to something thicker according to how you want the car to rotate, or not.

BTW:

I don't have a single chassis brace bar on my car. doesn't mean they're dumb, or that they don't work, but I place the utmost importance on shocks, springs, bushings, and sway bar(s) when it comes to handling. After all those things are taken care of then look at the super cool monkey bar-looking chassis bracing.

There is a far more constructive way to convery your opinion than what you posted there.

Calling the OP a "ricer" and calling the guy who replied above you an "*******" is uncalled for.

Sure adding swaybars on a Civic will change the handling characteristics, but only the owner of the car can define "spooky" himself. Swaybars offer the advantage of limiting body roll mwithout sacrificing ride quality whereas adding stiffer springs limits body roll [and sacrifices ride quality.

I've got a neuspeed front upper brace on the del sol, love that thing. Drove without it for a while and really noticied the difference

Why the crap are you using 888's on the street. Bars are not the answer to your problem, reading and listening to people who know what theyre doing are. I agree get some real shocks and learn about swaybars. I dont know if EG's need extra reinforcement of the subframe but its probably a good idea to get a brace if you get a rear sway bar. If your tires are rubbing you need to either adjust your height or modify the fenders. Im guessing youre probably dumped which isnt the best for handling.

why not run 888's? he lives in San Jose, were it rains like, what, one week out of the year. if he can afford it why not. his real problem is that he is on a set of 17's. change the shocks and change the rims, and work from there.

first off im no ricer so i resent your statement! Also i know how to drive my car i was just wondering what everyone thinks cause im starting from scratch all over again....also the R888 in my opinion are one of the best handling tires i have driven on and VERY comparable to the 615 from Falken and also i do a TON of mountain driving and hoped someone with more experience than I would tell me there set-up....
well i have Flex full coilovers on my suspension list which will be ordered soon enough so thats not a problem. I hope Koopa Troopa can realize that hes not the "only" person who thinks everyone else is a "ricer" and that im just here for opinions and if you cant answer someone respectfully than just shut up.
I did nothing to make you mad this is my post not yours so if you want to flame me go create your own post and flame me there, otherwise sit down and stop playing video games and pms somewhere else.

Sorry for everyone having to read this i sincerely apologize to all who had to waste their time reading this so please if you have any REAL answers to my question please feel free to post anytime!
