alright so i just had another jdm h22a swapped into my lude. my fuel gauge and temp gauge stopped lighting up. when the car was started first the gauges were really really dim. then the battery was swapped and the car was started again and the gauges were no longer visible. there was a weird smell... almost like burning plastic but that could have been the excess oil burning off.

also... with my jdm digital climate control... there is a heat box against the fire wall that has a vacuum line. im assuming this is why my heat isnt working. we didnt know where it went so we hooked it up to a vacuum source off of the intake manifold.

any help is appreciated.

Check your water temp sensor, and your grounds.

 

Was that smell coming from inside, or outside ur car???

if the cluster with your water temp and gas gauge STOPPED lighting up....either its unplugged from the back, a wire is cut or shorted, or the whole cluster is fried(which just might explain the smell)

Whoever did ur wiring of the climate control should be able to fix/trouble shoot why its not working.

Don't know what the deal with ur heat is.....but did u get EVERYTHING needed to hook the climate control up CORRECTLY...there's a huge list of **** u need in order to make it work right.

 

my car came with climate control stock (car is from japan) so all of the wiring should be perfect. anyone have a diagram of the digital climate control (ie: where all the hoses and **** go?)

where is the water temp sensor?

i will recheck my grounds.

the gauges have never been removed or tampered with so there should be no reason why they would be disconnected.
