Default 689m manual safety module install

looks pretty self explanatory except some things. hooking up to a 5900 96ex
1.)is the sensor shut down hooked to the brown brake shutdown?
2.)the ebrake and brake pedals are single wire hook ups?
3.)confused about the clutch. do i ground out so it always looks to be pressed?
4.)the alarm and 689m both need tach, hook them together and run one to the dash?

1.)is the sensor shut down hooked to the brown brake shutdown?

- No...this is for the output from say a radar/motion sensor. Basically any alarm
sensor that would shut down the remote start process...
ADD ONE

2.)the ebrake and brake pedals are single wire hook ups?
- Kinda..but you need to follow the diagram exactly..it keeps the module
from being destroyed in not hooked up correctly...also shuts down the car

3.)confused about the clutch. do i ground out so it always looks to be pressed?
- NO..NO...NO... The module is designed to send the correct signal to the clutch as
if you were pushing it in yourself...

4.)the alarm and 689m both need tach, hook them together and run one to the dash?
- Yes the module needs to see tach as well as hood door and trunk triggers. Failure to do so can spell FINANCIAL DISASTER FOR YOU...(among other things

No the parking brake and hand brake are two diffrent wires. Look on the diagram. System shut down is not needed unless your using a proxy. Good for a convertable. And yes both units need to be tagged to the tach.

1.) hook my tilt/prox sensor to it?
2.) sounds like the brake and ebrake only have one wire that come off of each
3.) i just hook up the black/purple wires and that's that?
4.) the alarm unit sees hood and trunk trigger, thats means im set?

You hook up the proxy and if it goes off you can not remote start the car. Hook up the rest and your good to go.
