Default Cylinder 1 Not Firing

Just bought an EP3 about a week ago, missed a 3rd to 4th shift and went to 2nd around 75mph. CEL came on and gave me 7 codes.

2- 1st cyl misfires
2- 4th cyl misfires
2- random misfires
1- overspeed? or something like that.

Narrowed to down to the first cyl not firing (By unplugging each coil pack). replaced cyl1 coil pack, and all 4 spark plugs. problem is still here.

help?

You likely overrevved it to the point of damage unfortunately

Actual EP3 forum.

Good luck on your problem. If there's light at the tunnel, it's perfect time to upgrade to a K20A2 RSX Type S motor in your EP3.

yeah check out my thread.... fall of my DC5 thats from an over rev. Chances are you bent a valve. Do a compression check.

Damn! There have been a lot of mis shifts lately.

I gotta make sure I keep my shifts as straight as George Clooney cause I sure don't have money for a rebuild.

Another reason I opted NOT to buy the Buddy Club short shifter. Not worth the chance.

Good luck man!
