I want to start by saying that in no way do I believe I am the first person to come up with this. However, after seeing so many oem eg front lips installed incorrectly in the past I think this post is actually helpful. One day after coming back from the Honda dealer with my brand new eg front lip, I realized that I needed a special bolt and clip (11 to be exact) in order to properly mount it. So I went back to the Honda dealer the next day to find out that each clip costs $3 and some change and each bolt costs $2 and some change. Do the math and you are looking at very close to $60 or more to get these fasteners. Oddly enough at the same time I was working on the front end of one of my integras. When I had the bumper off I looked and noticed that the '94 to '97 front bumper is actually a two piece bumper, and low and behold they are held together by 8 bolts and a clips that looked very similar to the ones needed to install the eg front lip. After checking some part numbers between Honda and Acura they are the exact same thing. So what right? Well local pick a parts still have many of these '94 to '97 integras, and most will only charge you like $5 for all the hardware you need. Or if you are like many of us that have had integra parts cars, you have 4 or 5 of these older style less wanted bumpers laying around. They are the same parts I promise you..the only issue would be that you in order to get all 11 you will need to rob more than one bumper. Maybe this is a worthless post, but we'll see. I hope this helps someone!

I am sure you could...I have been working on Hondas for over 10 years now, and I have done pretty much everything when it comes to repairing, maintaining, or building a civic/integra. Even though I could have probably used random bolts, nuts, and washers, in my opinion honda makes special bolts, nuts, clips, etc. for a reason. Also with the right clips and bolts, installation can be done in about 5 minutes!

The design of the clip and the shouldered bolt pulls the lip tighter and remains low profile so that bolt heads cannot be seen peeking out from below the lip.

Doesn't look bad, but the shouldered bolt does make the fitment a bit better!
