where can I locate the transmission control module/unit on my 91 honda accord lx

on the passenger side floor near kick panel it sits next to the ecu.

I had the same problem when I had my 91 'cord, turned out four speed sensors needed replacing.

You might be better off to jumper the service check connector and find out the code BEFORE you replace the TCM.
Is your speedo working?

If the Speedometer still works, the ECM hasn't set a code and the Transmission appears to be operating correctly, more than likely the TCM bought the farm.

If the VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) had failed; the "Check Engine Lamp" would be lit and the speedo would be sitting there staring back at you.

Default VSS Disconnection

I have another questions, I disconnected the VSS will this affect me driving the car with is disconnected???? I am not a expert by no means! Sorry

The vehicle will most likely continue to drive, but in default or "Limp home" mode. Without a vehicle speed signal, both the ECM and the TCM will be effected.

Your TCM is located here: Bronze box on the right.
