I just got my car (91 accord) not to long ago, and it was sitting around my house for a little while... Unfortunitly the speedometer wants to just not work, and my odometer much the same?? it just randomly goes up and down....Any suggestions of what might be causeing it not to move correctly???... also my check engine light keeps coming on randomly.. do you think it may be because of the speedometer?

 

pull the code from the ecu (or you can have Autozone check the code for free). the odometer runs off the spedometer, so if the spedometer doesn't work, neither will your odometer. my first guess as to the problem would be the speed sensor. second guess is the spedometer cable.
