does wire matter?
This is more of a techincal philosophy pondering question. As a shop manager I used to sell the wires kits because I needed to make my monthly budget which directly affected food on the table. I based the sale of wire kits on this technical explanation.
Customer walks in and says "I want an amp for my woofer"
Circuit Shitty manager (CSM) " yeah, I can hook you up... (skip to wire part) and we'll need the $50 wire kit because you are buying this really cool and powerfull amp. The kit has 8 guage wire with multiple strands of high quality copper. Electrons travel on the outside of the wire, thus supplying more wire for electron travel and delivering the amount of electricity your huge big amp needs"
Customer "dang that's expensive"
CSM "since you walked back here instead of going to the main floor, I'll drop the price of the kit from $50 to $30 and 10% off the amp. If you buy the box for the woofer, I'll give you the amp for cost. OK install labor plus parts = $X.95" Ka-ching sale made!
Customer "OK!"
Well, here is the question, you buy 8 guage wire to run to the amp, then you connect it to a connector on the amp that is smaller than the 8 gauge wire. Is the wire really needed?
Here is an analogy using water, you use garden hose to power up the amp, then you use a drinking straw to connect the hose to the amp.
Seems like the 8 guage wire is a waste.
I have read many good posts by people who know much about mobile electronics, just curious to hear your opinions and explanations.

I was hoping you would reply. I have the same opinion. Bad business, you bet. That is why I like to tell the world about it. That was all years ago. Everyone read an learn Teken has the key for you guys to go back and complain.
Let me clarify, I am not trying to get into any battles. I repect your opinions and knowledge. I do not know you , but have read your posts and hold you in high regard.
What I was asking is, if the connectors on an amp or the end of 8 gauge wire are smaller, than the wire, is it a waste? You have 8 gauge wire and then a connector that is smaller. Does the connector acts like a funnel?
