Default Hawk HP Plus brake noise

anyone used Hawk HP Plus brake pads?

I just replaced my rotors and pads, got the cheapest $30 rotors from Smyth Automotive, and Hawk Pads. They work great except from 10 mph to 0 mph. They make a harsh grinding noise, i have seated the pads twice now and am still getting the grinding.

Very Annoying, need help.

Thanks

Are you positive the pad shields are not coming in contact with the rotor?

I'd allow some break in time with the pads before I'd assume that noise would not go away.

any ideas on how long the break-in period is? I have roughly 100 miles on them. I believe I have narrowed the noise down to the outside of the rotor on the drivers side.

Burnishing Instructions

After installing new brake pads, make 6 to 10 stops from approximately 30-35 mph applying moderate pressure.
Make an additional 2 to 3 hard stops from approximately 40 to 45 mph.
DO NOT DRAG BRAKES!
Allow 15 minutes for brake system to cool down.
After step 4 your new pads are ready for use.

theres a possibility that the pad material causes it to make more brake dust and squeek. but id go over ur brakes. make sure u have lubricant on it all. also if you have to, this is last resort put a slit down the middle of them if there solid
