i hav a 1998 civic hatch back with a yr 2000 D16y7 swap in it. i hav warrenty and everythign for the swap. The thing is that my rpm goes up really quick like when im driving 80 mph on the freeway my rpm is at 3k for fith gear. is it somethign wrong with the motor or tansmission?

 

Sounds about right to me.

I have a DX/LX trans on my y8, 5th is about 60 mph @ 2400 RPM or so. I could believe being 600 RPM more at 20 MPH more
