rpm's on highway?
i went on a road trip this weekend, about 6 hours each way and my rpm's was at 3,700 at 80 mph, 5th gear. it feels like its bad for the engine since its revving that much, but everyone else is going 80, so i followed them. I know dx trannies have long gears, but i dont know if 3600@80 is right. at 60, im around 3000
its a 94 civic dx, d15b7 with dx tranny, all stock.
so whats your rpm's on the highway on 5th?

Don't worry about it, not going to hurt anything. I usually cruise around 4k on the highway. I have a B16 so I'm a little under half the redline.

Only thing that will really effect will be mpg, obviously the lower the rpm's the better your mileage will be. I try to go aroudn 60-70 on the highway in 5th gear and I am at about 3300ish on a y8.

Lol. ITR 4.78FD in my B16 tranny, let's just say it's a little high strung on the freeway

Doing 80 my guess would be 5-6K in 5th.
