Default ls to b20 swap in eg hatch.

im really set on buying my friends eg hatch and all i know form him so far is it dosent run. depending on the issue of why it dosent run ill prob end up just buying a used jdm ls motor or b20 (the car is already fitted with a obd1 ls motor.) i know another ls would just bolt up and see you later have a nice day.. im curious of other then a jumper harness for the distribuator what all needs to be replace to make a obd2 b20 work in a obd1 hatch... i dont knwo much about obd1/0bd2 differences at all other then one is more emission controled.. another thing is i have a prelude so im alot more familiar with H/F series. let me know, thnaks guys

why not just put the obd1 dizzy on the newer engine and take harness off eg (obd1) and put that on new motor and call it a day

that should be basically it..use your flywheel with clutch and tranny of that ls and that ls wire harness, and may have to use the ls brackets..so basically you should have everything ..just by the b20 and swap sh$t over

nah nothing bad,,just the fact that its going to be scary fast..and it will have nice tork..later on you can just get a vtec head on that b20 block and it will be a little beast..im doing ls vtec with high compression pistons and lsd tranny,,but i wish i had a b20 block

honneslty its just to bea reliable DD my prelude is getting rebuilt from top to bottem and turboed looking for around 400 whp i just would like a nice DD, prob never put a vtec head on unless i get another DD and make that a progect to. but the prelude is my first project. thats awsome though i didnt know it was so easy i thoguht there would be extensive parts swpaed and wireing. but thats easy enough thanks for the helpi can pick up a b20 for 550 shipped to md :] soooo depending ont he extent of the damage on the ls i prob just swap it out :] thanks again.! i wish the prleude forum was this helpufl:/

now... the ls mounts will bolt right up to the b20 right. the only thing i would need to do is sawp distributor (how ever its spelled) (witch should bolt right up as well) and then plug it in bolt it up and its good to go right?
