Default Question for the wheel guru

I have a 94 gsr and i simply want to know if i would have any issues using a 255/50/16 tire combo. Would the side wall of the tire be a problem.

How wide is the wheel or rim you plan on using?

255? You would need to get fender flares or something to cover that wide of a tire. Not to mention that the size (255/50/16) is WAY too large for the car.

the reason why i'm doing that is because on a 16x7 rim, a 255/50 tireequal out to a 26" tall wheel tire combo. But since you guys are saying that a 255 will be too wide,i will just go with the 225/60/16,which equal out to the same.

Why do you want a 26" tall tire? You do know that it's horribly oversized for the car, unless it's strictly for track use. Plus, a 255 is rather wide for a 7" wide wheel.

it's for track use.I'm setting the car up for the TX mile, so use a 26" tall tire combo would change my gearing to where i want it.But now base on your opinions i will be better off utalizing 235/60/15 wheel combo. That way when i'm done i can take those 15" wheels off and slap my 205/45/16 wheels on.
