2000 f23vtec head bolt tourque specs?????
this is not for me btw, its for a buddy.
what are the tourque specs for the head bolts???
he said the haynes manuel said 22 the 1st time around, and then 90 degrees and another 90 degrees....
this doesnt sound right.
i know that d motors are 22 , then 47 ft lbs the 2nd time around and thats it...
now on top of that, if its wrong, then he has to replace the head bolts because they would be stretched?
he said that after the 2nd 90 degree turn that it was way over 100 ft lbs.
sooo.......... wtf are the correct tourque specs on the head bolts?
TIA!!!!

FSM doesn't give a final torque spec. When I installed mine with ARP studs, I torqued down to 78ft/lbs, then retorqued after 500 miles.
The only thing it says about reusing the stock bolts is that the diameter along the threads should be at least 11.3mm (0.44"), with the threads themselves being no more than 70mm in length.
