i need TPS help

Default i need TPS help

ok...iv had an idle issue for a while now...the car bucks sometimes when accelerating normally also, so i discovered buy pulling the plug off my TPS the car runs great...sooo this means my TPS is junk correct? if so...should i go to my local dealer and buy one...or get an aftermarket one?

is it for a b18b1?... but im asking if thats the problem? ..i have a 2nd tps somewhere ...but i think the car did strange stuff with that too...

check the pins/contacts on the tps plug itself. i had trouble with my tps for over a year, sometimes it would throw a code sometimes it wouldnt. turns out one of the pins were broken, and thats what was causing my problem. throttle would cut out sometimes, sounds like the same "bucking" problem that you are having

so the pins on the harness? okay...anything else to check?

check the voltage on the tps sensor. should be .5 at idle and 4.5 at wide open throttle. if you dont know search for a writeup, basically you just backprobe the plug with a needle on the tps wire and test it with a multimeter
