I am trying to 'fix up' my 87 CRX Si. I found some nice seat covers on eBay, but they're for a 2Gen SiR. Will they fit gen1 seats?

Also, what mods (other than hood) would I have to do to use gen2 headlights on my gen1?

Gen II headlights wont fit on a gen I without extensive body work...

 

The seat covers might fit. The light wont. Very few items are interchangable between the two generations.

 

if you want better lights try EDM or JDM ones from a country that drives on the right side of the road.

ARG!!! How extensive? These are the lights I want....

 

uhhh... well, technically all you'd have to do is hack up your stock header panel. your hood has absolutely nothing to do with your head lights...

but honestly, i'd spend the money on something else..

I am looking at the Medival Pro 1-piece hood anyway, which does away with the header panel. There's someone ( at redpepper. I think) that makes an aluminum "under-hood" header panel that works with the 1-piece hood to keep the air going thru the radiator and not over it.

I would just like to know if there is any 'other' problems using gen2 headlights on a gen1?

Yes, they do not fit!!!!!!!! Even with the one piece hood. Now get over it.

Your 1st Gen CRX is VERY different from the 2nd gen CRX, nearly nothing is interchangeable.

The EDM headlights have a black inner area past the reflector.they look good on black cars. Or get some clear GTS headlight covers and mask off some holes and paint the rest of the cover with VHT nightshades. At least that way it's removable and not permanent. As for seats, you can use 1988 US CRX seats or 2nd gen JDM CR-X seats. I have 2nd gen CR-X seats in mine and they hold much better.
