Bypassing Sensor by Simply Sending Correct Voltage
I have a 97 del sol si which has a D16Y8 in it. These cars came with OBD2 P28 ecus. This car used to be turbo so I used an OBD1 P28 to tune with. Now that I am back to stock all I could find is an OBD2 P2P, which came from the D16Y8 civics, thinking since it's the same engine it should work. Well it does for the most part, but there is a fuel tank pressure sensor in the civics that isn't on my car. Therefore my car always throws this code.
I know the located of the pin on the ECU for the FTP sensor and it typically gets 2.5V. Being that my car doesn't have this sensor, it doesn't get any volts. What can I make or rig up so that I can send these 2.5V's to this sensor? I am on a really limited budget so converting to OBD1 or buying a new ECU is not an option.
