timing.

Default timing.

Hello im new here and have a question.
I have been told that the timing from a D16y7 is different from a D16y8.
Would you have to swap out the ecu or some how advance the timing?

set the timing for stock y8 and you need a y8 ecu also make sure its manual or auto whatever kind of car you have

The trans in a manual, so i shouldn't hane any issues wen i do this swap.

I have one more question,now do i have to change the wiring harness and ecu to a non vtec one.

just wire up the VTEC it should be easier there is a thread that shows how in the FAQ section
