Hi Guys, I have some quick questions. I want to put a CD player in my girlfriends 2000 Accord LX. I want to get this unit...

It says that it was pulled from an 01, does that matter that mine is one year older? Also, I want to be sure that it has green illumination. I already asked the seller, and he didn't know. If it came from an 01 Accord, is there any chance that it is orange instead?

my 6 disc out of my 01 EX has green illumination ... yes it will fit ... as far as the illumination i wouldnt know

 

As to the color of it's illumination, I can't comment (only because I often don't pay attention), but the players'chassis should fit without problem.
Your year accord is considered a 6th generation Accord - which spans the years 1998 up to and including 2002.
If you had asked of swapping from a 2003, THAT would have been more problamatic. Often times it's difficult swapping across Generations

Yes it will fit.

The illumination however, is iffy, but those are small details, and if that doesn't matter to you, then you are golden.

it will fit just fine, i'm not sure if that year came equipt with a security code or not tho. you might want to ask the seller if he has the security code or do some quick research to find out if that year and model came with the sequrity feature on the radio
