Default dx and si speed sensor difference?

are the speed sensors in both of these trannys the same? or will the si one make the speedo slower than what it should be in a dx tranny? if i remember right the si one was black and the dx sensor was yellow? and i think the yellow one had more teeth on it, i just got a dx tranny in my car and it had black speed sensor in it and for some reason it doesnt feel like the speedo is keepin up. my launch control is [freak]in up an the redline is popin way sooner than 7500 which is where my full throttle shift is at
