ok i have all new motor mounts, and i have a 93 eg si hatchback with a b20vtec, one solid motor mount on tranny ES bushings in rear and stock driver side mount. when i shift take off or am slowing down and tap gas i get a thump or a hitting or knocking noise out of my rear fire wall lower side and or right suspension side is where the sound is coming from. i have blown rear shocks and i am getting those replaced this next pay check. Is there any thing you guys can think of that might be "knocking" or "hitting"??? i was thinking maybe blown front shocks to? or tie rod ends? any input i am trying to do this without buying some thing and regreting on doing so and not needing it. Thanks for ur help guys.

 

could be the motor wacking your hood...

 

i was gonna say maybe try the ITB hood prop look since i know some people with teh h2b set up and b20VTEC set ups sometimes have to do it for clearance issues

 

i said its hitting lower end... and my hood has spacers. lots of em. lol.

 

well then this could be a dumb question but not always...but do you have the torque mounts?

 

i have the extra transmission mount yes. i listed the mounts i have. thanks. any suggestions? could it be a blown shock? or tie rod? anyone have this problem before?

 

Could be your axles. I had a similar sound and it turned out me passenger side axle was loose due to a worn c clip at the transmission end.

 

i have a brand new passenger side axle to. could it still be that?

its not just an extra motor mount its there for more than just being an extra...to me idk what else it could be since theres really nothing other that could be moving down on the passeneger side firewall besides axle and the whole hub assembly id say go with that

 

u dont think any suspension linking parts could be it at all? tie rod ends? shock? or are u not to familiar? i was hopin someone would be really good at the suspension area and have a feel for what i am thinking it is.

 

anyone please help.... i gotta get this resolved.
