1993 Accord won't start correctly.
Hello, I have a 1993 Honda Accord, and when I put the key into the III position where it is supposed to have power, nothing happens. But once I turn it a little bit more to start the car, that when the power kicks in, if I keep on turning the key the car will start, but once I let go of the key the car turns off. I checked the fuses and they all work. The battery is good too. Has anyone had any problems like? How can fix it, is it fixable without going to a mechanic? My girlfriend's dad talk to his mechanic about it, and the mechanic said he knew what the problem was and said I should bring it in, but didn't say what the problem was. Thank you.
You need to replace the electrical portion of your ignition switch. Honda has issued several TSB's (and at least one recall) for this item; and the forum gets queries from time to time about this.

hey my accord is doing the same exact thing i have a 1990 but someone else told me it could be ecu. I have a red light on the ecu when there no key at all
What year is your accord?
How does it act?
That red light (I never paid attention to it (I confirm power with a test light)) indicates the ECM is powered. The "Check Engine Soon" lamp on your cluster display is the one to pay attention to for problems.
