call me a newb but I didn't even realize that hfp made so much aftermarket stuff--those look awesome and for a real good price too--one question I have--does anyone know if these void any warranties seeing as their honda parts??

Knowing Honda, it probably does void warranties unless installed by a "Honda-certified technician"

Figures, maybe it'd be worth asking them seeing what they say--I autocross but I don't want to mod it too crazy however pads are a must for high speed lapping days so I could see a benefit--I guess I could always just change out the setup before the race and then change back after

They don't void the warranty, but their warranty is not as long as the OEM parts (non accessory). Accessory parts warranty is 1 year/ 12,000 miles I believe.

the HFP brake kit is sweet. it doesnt void your warranty, meaning if something happens with your brake system and it is found to be warranty issue the HFP set wont have any adverse impact regarding the situation. honda part is a honda part. youll still have the life of the original warranty 3 year/36k miles. not sure what power of dreams is talking about accessory warranty? ive never heard of this and I work at Honda. *shrugs*

iirc what POD is reffering to, is if the parts are installed after you purchase the vehicle.....If they are purchased(installed) at the initial signing(purchase) of the vehicle they are covered by the factory 3/36....

What the [freak] are you talking about?

To clear up the warranty question...
http://automobiles.honda.com/c....aspx

The HFP kit is not worth the money. I really wanted it when I got my car but after some research, I'm really glad I didn't. This kit front http://fastbrakes.com/shop/pro...=1966 is only $175 more and it will stop better than the 4 wheel HFP kit. Granted, it's only the front kit, but for $725 this kit includes the Wilwood Superlite Forged 4 piston calipers, 12.76 inch slotted/dimpled(or drilled) rotors, Hawk HPS pads, mounting brackets and braided steel brake lines. And it reduces unsprung weight by 5 lbs, on each front wheel. Not to mention, Willwoods look a hell of a lot better than HFPs.

Since I'm not caught up on the exact specs of the stock brakes, can you run that kit with 17's (stock or aftermarket)?

That's a pretty good question. And, one that I'm not of the answer to.

Seriously? Where did you find that out? And...if that's true, then it is definitely a hell of a deal and worth it.

Ok...yeah. Works for the FA5. I went to Honda.com to check that out when you first said it, but I built an FG2. But there was no option of the HFP brake kit for the FG2.

But yeah...definitely now only $117. That's a damn steal.

I have yet to see anything HFP actuall "worth" the money.

They are probably made of high quality stuff but nothing drastic in terms of performance over stock.
