95 LS turning over, but no start.
So I have a 95 LS that I haven't started in about a year.
I bought the distributor cap thinking that might be it.
I've been told the ECU is done. How would they have known anyways. I'ma use my buddys ECU from his LS/VTEC EM1 to atleast get it started.
What else would make the car just turn over and not start?
Thanks.

Check for spark and fuel. If its turning over and not starting its probably one of those. No fuel could be the main relay or the fuel pump or maybe but least likely it could be the ecu. If you dont have spark then its probably the coil or ignitor. You can check to see if those are still good with some basic tools and a manual for your car. If you dont have a manual then google "hondahookup manuals". Hope this helps.
Fuel pump primes so that means it would be getting fuel correct?
And is there any way to see if the main relay is good? Its kinda hard to tell if its bad.
Thanks for the help.

does it smell like gas?? if it has sat for a long time alot of sediment in the tank could have settle to the bottom and gotten sucked into the fuel filter and clogged it up.

In the process of it turning over, yes, I smelled gas.

The only true way to tell if your getting fuel is to see if its getting on the spark plugs. If you have been trying to turn it over quite a few times all 4 spark plugs should have a noticiable amount of gas on them. The injectors could still be stuck open or not letting enough gas in but thats not likely. If you are getting fuel then your relay is good.

I'll be able to check the spark plugs when I get my tools back
Well before my car ever died. The problem was that it would cut off randomly like at a red light. It did that for about 2 days and then all it did was turn over.

Well before it died, it misfired but I changed the plugs and wires and that fixed that problem. But now, it turns over and thats all it does.

if you know someone that would let you borrow there dizzy to see if that fixes it that would be nice. but i would assume since there is no cel all systems in it are working properly.
when you turn the key on does the cel come on then shut off at least? or just not come on at all like you said.

I'ma ask my buddy with the LS/VTEC EM1 if I can use his, but that won't be until tomorrow since he gets off at 1am.
I turned the key and all the cluster lights came on, then the CEL turned off like usual.

There is the list of codes. I was just wondering what one would he throw if something in his distributor went bad, or were you just pulling that info from your ***?

It didn't throw a CEL.
But I get my tools today so I can check the plugs.

Yea I was just tryin to prove that other guy is dumb and that he is just tryin to spread false info.
No spark its probably going to be the coil or ignitor. Both are inside the distributor. Get a manual and check it out.
