Default 90 civic hb si trouble starting when engine is a normal operating temp

ok in the morning or normally the first time i start the car of the day starts right up. then when i drive till in gets warmed up and turn if off and wait bout ten or fifteen mins i go to start it and it don't want to start and after u let it cool down little longer it will start but hard to its like its flooded or something bc when it starts it smokes bad and smells like gas and sputters and when im going down the road no problem runs great.

i don't know if this has anything to do with it but i had coolant leak in the connecting pipe between the water pump and thermo housing fixed it and now all the starting issues started and when im going down the road the cooling system builds up to much pressure and blows by the radiator cap.

new parts
radiator cap
02 sensor
thermostat

need help now sure at all whats wrong im thinking something to do with the cooling system please need all help i can get

If it was just the starting issue, I'd guess the TW (water temp) sensor is flakey. (It's not the same one that feeds the dash temp gauge).

But, you mention the cooling system builds too much presure. That would lead me to think your head gasket is blown. Coolant getting into the cylinders at cool down could cause the starting trouble.

Kinda sounds like a clogged cat...have a test pipe handy?

Also, with the coolant issue...Did you install the thermostat the right way? Buy the right temp rating for the tstat and rad cap?
