Default New Main Bearings...

I am putting my block back together and i decided to get new OEM bearings since i didnt do so last summer when i rebuilt my engine. The crank is installed and tomorrow night the pistons will be dropped and the block will be finished. My question is, i remember last year when i used the old bearings the crank rotated freely and smoothly with hardly any force on the crank. I have new main bearings now and i noticed its a little tougher to turn the crank, it turns very smoothly though. Once i spun it a few times (yes i lubed it properly and got the correct bearings) it started spinning alot easier. I imagine this is because im using NEW bearings and not used ones like before, correct? just wanted to post to be assured everything is ok, i talked to some other poeple and they also said this is normal.
