Default Tune-Up...

I had a Tune-up done on my 1991 crx dx. i bought spark plugs, spark plug wires, etc...... i had a auto shop do it for me cuz i didnt want to do it so i dropped it off.. they called me to pick it up cuz it was ready. i was driving home when all of a sudden i hear a loud clunk under my hood. so i open my hood and i see that one of the sockets for the spark plugs was popped up so i pulled it out and half of the spark plug was missing.... anyways i got it fixed and i was wondering what could have caused this???

the plug wires have metal clips on the ends that fasten around the top of the spark plug...

are those clips there? if so... just make sure that they are seating properly on the plugs.

i have a few friends who are mechanics at dealerships, and you wont believe the stories i've heard. i would never take my car to a dealership, let alone a third party shop. unless of course i sat there and watched them do everything.

they do say if you want something done right, you have to do it yourself
