92 prelude no spark
i have a 92 prelude s i just bought not running
it doesnt have a spark
so far i changed the dizzy, main relay, ecu (all off a working car)
ive been searching for broken wires, i removed an autostart that was in there
i just cant seem to figure it out, any ideas?

Check fuse #4 in the underdash fuseblock. Had this problem as well, turned out the fuse was blown, it supplies power to the main relay, which sends a signal to the cpu to send spark.
If the fuse is not blown, take the ignition module to an Auto parts store and have them test it.
Good luck!!

there is power at the coil, i did check the fuses, but ill check again tomorrow, maybe i missed something... i hope, lol, i dont know if the timing is off, honestly i never checked it because i assumed there would still be a spark if the rotor button was turning..
how do you know theres power to the coil?
i had to run a wire from my fusebox under my dash to the coil to get it to get power to the coil so i can get spark
Note - 92 prelude with f22b1

i was thinking about this question "is the timing off?" and if it was far enough off that when the piston was at TDC to send the spark and the rotor button wasnt touching a contact that could cause it not to spark right? now.... if that actually were the case that the timing jumped that far, would there be damage to the head or anything?
FIXED!!!!
there was a wire that rubbed through the harness behind the engine (under the intake manifold) and my dizzy wasnt working right for some reason, im assuming it was the wire because i changed the dizzy before with a working one and it did nothing...

Glad you got it fixed, I'm having an intermittent problem similar to yours.
How did you get access to the wire that had rubbed through the harness below the IM? Do you have a picture? I'd like to check and see if this could also be my problem.
Thanks

ill try to take a pic, but i was just in the process of halling out the engine wire harness when i noticed the wire wasnt connected into the bracket under the manifold and it just rubbed on the bracket and into a wire, so the computer was probably just grounding out through there, i could see it from the passenger side, a few inches back from the thermostat housing
