paper clip cel on 97 prelude
Yes, I just did this recently. First locate the service port on the passenger side near the foot area (there's a carpeted cover that snaps off located just below where the dash ends to right side of the radio area, easy to find). There is a little 2 pin connector that should be (unless tampered with prior) to right of the large service port. You simply stick each end of the paper clip into each pin of the connector, turn your key on all the way (not starting the car though) and your CEL will come on, then go off. Soon after that it will flash a code to you. Short flashes are increments of 1, long flashes are increments of 10. If the code is higher than 10, the long flash will always come on first, followed by short ones, depending on the number...
Example: Code 16 would be -- long-short-short-short-short-short-short
Code 4 would be -- short-short-short-short
You get the idea...hope that helps.

The actual jumper I think is less than $10 from Honda and is worth it in my opinion so you don't have to fuss with the paper clip, fyi
