anyone know the difference between mainbearing sizes? my plastigauge results are iffy

anyone know the difference between mainbearing sizes? my plastigauge results are iffy
well i plastigauged my main bearings and came out with around .0018 to .0020. helms says i should be between .0009 and .0017 with the service limit being at .0024. this is with brown bearings. the next smaller size is black, but would switching over make my tolerences too tight? whats the size change between bearing sizes. i remember seeing it somewhere but cant remember where
