I have a 2002 Civic EX and I can either keep it and buy a 94 VX hatch for 1k and do a swap in sept.(will have 4k for the complete swap in sept.) and slowly mod it OR I can sell my 2002 civic for a 99-00 si and put in a B18C5. What would you do in my postion? I would like to hear EVERYONES onpinions. Thankyou

 

VX hatch would be my choice I don't particularly like the only non hatch SI

 

I would not do this, unless the b16 in it is already blown. Otherwise you already start out with a good platform.

 

if you chose the si.....use the money from a sawp for a turbo....but i do love the hatch as well...........truthfully if i could i would put my motor in a 94 hatch........... IMO

i have a vx, and i love it to death, but if the si's b16 is still good..in my opinion, i'd rather get that and spend the money on other things, mostly suspension..(i'm addicted to aftermarket suspension goodies)...and i'm from chicago, where the weather really sux, and rust is no one's friend. heh.

 

Which one would you want, the trubo si or the VX with a swap and a 02 EX?

 

 

sell your 2002 civic
buy a 99-00 SI
buy a 94 VX HB
take the motor from the 99-00 SI put it in the HB
then put a GSR motor with some goodies into your SI

 

sell ex
buy vx
fix it up if necessary
put b20 w/gsr tranny in vx,tune it and boost it to hell
blow b20 eventually
resleeve b20 and build it up and boost it even more
dont blow b20 and have good reliable boosted car
