Ok, I'll try to make it short.

I have a 89 CRX Si with B16 swap (OBD 1). Car worked fine. I left country for a year and I came back. Car was still ok after sitting for one year exposed to the elements. I drove it and I seemed ok. I did oil change, replaced brakes, Air Filter, Replaced fuel, etc. I worked ok.

So, I had a long trip with the car, about 500 miles. Car drove ok for first part of the trip, but then it started shaking... But not hard shaking. I held the RPM stedlly at 4000 doing about 60-70mph, and the RPM didn't change, but the car shook in intervals. It would shake a little for 4sec then i would stop for 3 sec. Then it would stop completly, then it would come back.

Just about half way, things got worse. If i tried to accelerate, in any gear... Hard acceleration, the car would stumble and choke, in the most severe case, the RPM would drop, then come back, almost like the fuel was cut off. But this would happen when the check engine light turns on. I even had the car shut off in result of the RPM droping down doing about 30mph. Only happened once.

Before the trip the check engine light didn't turn on, now it turns on imidiantlly after i start the car.

Does anyone have any idea what's going on?

Noob question, but how do you check to see what code is flashing? I know it's under the passanger side under the carpet, but it's not like D16's ECU where you had a LED blinking, there is nothing now. So how would I check it?

Update:

Ok, I've changed the fuel filter, and still nothing.

Friend of mine replaced distrubitor while I was away. So it's pretty new. Don't know it that could be the problem.
