Would you say this ecu looks F#$%D ?
Over the past month I have been trying to get the rest of my parts that were supposed to be included in my b16a2 swap i bought from the Canadian hell pit known as OSAKA (Long Story told in another thread). Anyway I get some of the parts the promised me today through ups. My p30 has dent in it so i take off the cover and notice this on the backside plastic cover.

So I examined this bitch further and found this s#$%

and

I called them and some terrorist named "Chris" told me that it should work and to just try it and see. I know alot about electronics and this thing looks cooked.

this looks a lot like a common problem with our growing older ECUs.
the electrolytic cap gets old and leaks, this in turn blows up like the pic.
replace the cap, repair the trace and it will be good as new.
Symptom = no fuel pump. (that's the trace that under this cap)

that is not a healthy looking ECU. I'd definately send it back. Not all canadian importers suck BTW. I have heard terrible things about osaka though.

if you can return it and get your money back or exchange it I would do that. If that is not possible just replace the cap and anything else that looks damaged then you should be good to go.
A few years ago my friend somehow blew a trace on his ECU. I just repaired the connection with wire/solder and it works to this day.
