i have a obd0 zc single cam in my rex and im swapping in a mini me z6 block y8 head and want to kno before i remove my engine if my zc intake manifold will fit on the y8 head witout problems ? and /or wat manifold i need to get....any help appreciated
Are you swap in a Z6 block with a Y8 head or are you doing a mini me? I would just swap the Y8 head on your zc block, use your zc mani, and call it a day.

Won't work. OBD0 uses a more square looking water port on the intake manifold and OBD2 is round. You'll loose water because the water jacks won't line up. Had a D15B2 with OBD0 intake running the Y8 head. Never got the gasket to seal so it just overheated over and over and over again

The Y8 head

The ZC intake manifold

So tell me, how are you going to make the circle water port match up with the square water port?

noone has ever had that problem. im pretty sure if it was that big of a problem people wouldnt use y8 intake manifolds on all kinds of 88-95 heads. yes it will work. if you use a new gasket and tighten the bolts tight just like you would any other time.
