i have a problem with my car , when i drive and gas it alittle the speedometer jumps like crazy what has happen? anyway to fix it?

 

I typed in "speedometer" under recent topics on H-T's search engine, and I got <FONT SIZE="7"><FONT COLOR="red">138</FONT></FONT> results.

It's going to be likely having to do with the vehicle speed sensor (also called VSS), or the plug for it.

Is your check engine light on?

did this happen before the swap? I had the same problem when I bought a SI cluster, I just replaced the Speedo, and it works fine now.

 

97/honda/civic , yeah my check engine light is on but its been on for about 1 1/2 years now and its cause of my o2 senor but the speedometer problem just happened today?

 

normally when the gauge starts jumping all over the place, the first spot i look is the cluster.
