is this an ex/si tranny?

They'll all be S20 no matter if it's the CX/VX, DX, or Si/EX tranny.
The way you tell a Si/EX tranny frok all the others is that just above the fill plug (big 17mm bolt by where the right CV inner joint sticks into the tranny) there will be a B000 cast in the tranny casing itself. A000 means it's the non-Si/EX tranny and the only way to tell if it's a DX tranny rather than a CX/VX tranny is to split the case and start counting teeth, and doing math.
An excellent D tranny page is Mista Bone's Page complete with gear ratios, etc.
