Default Removed the transmission now getting a CEL; P1758...drives fine though

So i removed my automatic transmission to inspect for a rear main seal leak.

I have a 1996 Automatic EX Accord

I am pretty good with tools, so the removal and install of the transmission were no problem.

Everything is plug in, button up..

Went to start it, and drive it.

boom!!

Check engine light comes on, D4 starts flashing!!

I check the codes, I only have 1 its p1758, Automatic transaxle fault
And nothing else.

The car drives and shifts fine. Why am i getting this code?

Hmmmmm, must be a generic scan tool

P1758 = Transaxle Control Module A/T lockup solenoid valve 'B' circuit

Hi

i have the same problem
What was the solution?

I had changed the solenoid, worked good for 10 months

Now its bad again, put another one (from a junked car) and the D4 light stops blinking and then starts blinking again, after i turn the car off, then stays on after i run it again...

Would the cable make that big hassle?

check both, the new and the old and both work outside.

Thanks!!

i would double check the lock up a/b solenoid plus it runs under the harness and is very common for been left unplugged. either that or check the pin fit.
