short shifter
pretty sure the one on the top is for a k series and the one on the bottom is for a b or d.
btw i have the one on the bottom and love it. make sure you get the polyurathane bushings also. they make a world of difference, at least for me.

yeah im pretty sure the top is the shifter box...like the k series motors use. they use a box unlike the b/d shifters that are just a rod. i just put something like the bottom in my ej. i like it if i didnt have an integra short shifter.
ok i have a 92 eg and the gears are hard to put in what can i do to it to make the gears go in perfect and also every time i shift to 2 and 3 gear it makes a click sound
Yeah the one on bottom is for a b series, cause the bottom of the shifter is wider to fit snug in the b series shift linkages, the d series have like a little ball at the end of it.

since i put that integra short throw into my ej...the linkage literally hits the exhaust and 5th gear is a BITCH!! to get into. but my syncros are bad in 3rd and 4th in my hatch and they go in easy....just grind.
so check your linkage first...it could be bent flubbed up somehow or somethin.

Your syncros are bad !
as for it being hard to shift into gears it can be u over tightened the bottom screw the bolts the shifter to the shift linkage. My gears where hard to put in also but once I loosend it a lil it felt like new

Actually the Integra shifters and linkages are wider as pictured, but even B series linkages and shifters from the Del Sol and Civics that had a B16A in them have the more narrow, D series-like bottom. There's actually no difference in a stock 99-00 Civic Si shifter and its 96-00 D series brothers.
As far as this topic goes no shifter is going to keep a tranny from being hard to get into gear, or stop any grinding. The problem is tiehr in the clutch itself, or most likely inside the tranny in the form of bad synchro sleeves or possibly bad shift fork.
The click noise mentioned could also be from bad engine/tranny mounts or bad inner joints on the CV axles.
