so i got a 96 dx manual , y7block and im going to put a y8 head and y8 mani on it and i have a 98 ex manual ecu but the mani that i got is a y8 auto and it does have a 3- wire icav will the ecu read that 3 wire icav thanks

This was written in that article:
"The throttle body is a possible point of difficulty, the easiest way is to use the Y8 throttle body and y8 IACV on the head. In order to do this with the y7 wiring harness, you will need to take two spade connectors and connect them to the two prongs on the male side of the IACV connector, the connect these two wires to the three-wire female plug on the y8 wiring harness, being sure to disregard the orange wire. You will need to swap wires A12 and A14, and then disconnect wire A13 from the plug at the ECU."

Perhaps give a better explanation of your issue...

I copied this over from another thread. Which means you probably can use the automatic head with no issues with your manual ECU.

 

also i have the p2p ecu and so ur saying that my y8 mani auto will work with p2p ecu because my harness is a 3 connector to the icav and and plug on tha mani is a 3 wire plug icav i just hope my ecu reads it

 

anybody else
