Default Fog lights ( new bumper or "lip" ) ? ? ?

Some of the Si's come with pre-cut fog light holes and some just come with a normal bumper and no where to mount the fog lights. Is it just like a add on lip kind of a thing or do I need a whole new bumper?

You don't need a lip kit to add foglights. Your stock bumper will have pre-cut holes.

OP: Do you have coupe or sedan? Their bumper designs are different, but both can accommodate fog lights like Nexx said.

^^^ Yeah...what K5 said.

But to elaborate on what he said; the sedan and coupe bumpers differ from each other. The location for the foglights on the sedan (06-08) is in the lower grill area. I am assuming (because you are even asking) that you have a 06-08 sedan, so all you need is the foglight kit for a 06-08 sedan. For '09, the sedan's front bumper changed and so did the foglight location. The '09 sedan's foglight location is the same as the coupe's now.

Technically, if you like the way the '09s front end looks, and you have a overlapping color (i.e.-taffeta white, ralleye red, or alabaster silver metallic), you could purchase an '09 bumper and grill in your color and bolt them onto your car. I like the coupe (and '09 sedan) foglight location, but hate the rest of the front end update, so I personally wouldn't do it. Just giving you some idea I guess.

Are you serious?

No! You don't need a freaking new bumper. 2008 sedans don't have the cutouts for the foglights, because the foglights for your year are mounted in the lower grille. The cutouts you speak of are only present on the 06-08 coupe and the 2009 civics.

Wow...I didn't even realize you included this wonderful piece of information in that post. I will no longer respond to this thread, at least with anything constructive.

I agree. I have nothing against the JDM trend. It's not for me, and I would never buy a JDM-only item unless it providing some sort of performance gain that a USDM item could not. For me, IF I liked the look of a JDM item, I'd be fine with a knockoff of equal quality but much less price.

But, the JDM wanna-be thing is the worst. At least do some research on it beforehand. Simply saying it is JDM doesn't it make it so.

Yeah....it's almost as bad as people putting "JDM" in their username when they know damn well they don't have one.

I know I just think that it looks 10 times better when fog lights are in a cut out ( with the 06 si it looks more like its supposed to be there ) rather than with the 08 it looks like its after market. I had a 2000 civic si before this and im just use to the fog lights fitting in a cut out. Just looks more stock. And I want that stock good look.

I think a fog lights and a front lip make the 06+ civic si looks much more aggressive.
