what company's would you guys trust with with getting your headwork done
i know RLZ is one but where is there official web site?
what other places would you reccomend? also this is going to be on a VW 20V head im assuming porting and headwork in general is headwork
so send me some links to to check out and see about pricing because i can't afford an arm and a leg for a killer head

I would either go with Laskey racing or Exospeed.

We're only doing Honda and Toyota(2JZ, 4AG, 3TC, 2TC, 18RG, etc) heads now. We're not doing Mitsu or Nissan or other makes at this time.
check out RLZ, they maybe able to work on the VW 20v for you.

There is this guy that my dad used to use (when he owned his vw shop) named Fumio Fukaya if I remember correctly. I know the guy did old school vw heads and if you're lucky he might do newer stuff. My dad always said he was mosdef the **** when it came to vw headwork. His shop is in Riverside, CA.
Edit: Found it.......

crazy i grw up in Riverside and used to pass by that place all the time. never knew what that place was. haha.
I use Jim as well. I trust his work without question. I don't know how much development work he's done on VW heads in terms of valve angles and flow testing.
Portflow does good work and has a professional finish and reputation. I don't know how the numbers will come out in terms of power and value tho.

At this point I cannot recommend using Alaniz. It has been impossible to get correspondence. Additionally, my head was supposed to ship out last Monday, and I have not been able to get confirmation on this. Last night, I attempted yet another call, and the number that gets me to the answering machine receptionist for the past 5 months was disconnected.
It is really disappointing to have this even be a situation because there have been so many positive reviews on Alaniz, however based on my personal experience, I cannot suggest sending the head there.

I couldn't get Brad from RLZ to call me back and I wanted it done before 2010, so I went with Combustion Contraptions on here. Worked turned out great and the turn around time and communication was excellent.

Stewart Engines in Indy, hands down.
The stuff that I saw from Jim Stewart through Joe was incredible, results like no other.
