Default turbo instal in a crx si

Hey, i have a 1988 honda crx si

I was made an offer by a friend of mine to buy his turbo from a srt-4 in great condition, but my engine is stock a SOHC 16-Valve. Can you install this turbo with this engine? will it fit? My budget isnt too big but should i do an engine swap to something better like a b18 before doing this or can the stock crx si engine handle the turbo?

Thanks,

ps im very new just getting into this stuff.

depends on how many miles the stock engine has...personally i would swap the engine out. you can def. do a budget build on a b18

i wouldnt recommend it. but you could probably run a few pounds of boost and be fine. but every engine's different so its hard to say. sounds like you have a LOT to learn so search for some info on past turbo builds.
