Default Bump Stop Question

when lowering a car regardless of what springs do you use, do you have to cut the bump stop.

currently have h&r and illuminas and the ride its a little bouncy on the road that its not perfect but when the road is flat its runs good. mostly on the freeway 101 and 405.

Any suggestion

I think for most you should cut it in half or so.

Yes, when lowering a car you have to cut the bump stop other wise you won't have enough travel in the shock. You can either cut in half like muffinman said or cut off the large bottom section and just use that. You just want enough to keep from bottoming the strut but enough to allow adequate shock travel.

Trim it? Depends on how much you slam it - yes.
Eliminate them, no. To do so would invite suspenstion damage.

Thanks, I need to cut them.

On a flat smooth road it rides like a dream but when the road turn harsh its gets a little bit bouncy.

Blew 1 of my rear shocks just now.

Thanks
