I have been hearing a noise from my trans. when i accelerate while turning. I thought the axle was bad. when i looked at my passenger side axle today i could wiggle theaxle around in the trans(not in or out, but around). It has about a 1\4" of play. i checked the drivers side and it had very little play, but it is in the halfshaft. I dont think this is normal, so if anyone know what it might be please help me out. thanks.

the tranny is a cable b16

 

probably just a worn out cv axle doubt its your trans

 

could be warn splines or differential output shaft and or bearings/bushings, you'll need to remove the drive shafts to inspect.

 

any tips on what i should look for in the trans beside the obvious metal shavings and what not. thanks
