ok heres the problem, my friend has a eg with a GSR obd1 swap, bone stock. idles fine, but runs like a$$. when held at WOT the engie will stutter like crazy, it constantly stutters like it wont climb the rpms, the motor is acting like the gas is being featherd but it's held wide open the car will continue to pull to red line but hesitates like a constant on/ off of the power band, i checked the ECU and tried 3 otherm (JDM GSR, and 2 USDM Gsr) no luck, my initail thoughts are Distributor, Ecu? Fuel or electical, the timing is correct as well as the cam/crank alignment
So ht what do you think?

 

check the fuel filter and u used the proper injectors with the swap right?

 

Check that each cylinder is firing and getting fuel. Same kind of thing happened in my friend's CRX, came to find out one of his injectors would really only work half assed at idle and hardly when you gave it some throttle.

So yes, check ignition and fuel first, if the timing looks alright.

 

my guess is the injectors its gotta be, all cylenders have steady spark , so that rules out distributor problems, and yes its got stock GSR injectors,
